Designing Learning Journeys for Groups

A lot of things we do in preparation before delivering an experiential session fall into this big bucket called DESIGN!

The little pieces are important, and necessary. Executing these little pieces takes time. Somewhere in that journey of executing the task, the purpose fades into the mist!

The intention is for our 30,000 foot view of what needs to be done, to inform and influence every one of those little necessary pieces. That way we are able to call on the big picture whenever we are in doubt, confusion or crisis.

That is what thinking Design does!

The contents will remain work-in-progress for a while, so keep visiting these pages for updates!

This course is being designed for practitioners. Since this practice of experiential methodology finds many forms across all age groups, please share below what might interest you to learn.

The duration is expected to be 6 weekends (1 weekend/month) starting mid 2025.

Hi Vishwas, I am feeling stuck with the way I facilitate reflections,( follow same patterns) hence need to practice varied ways of facilitating reflections and leading it further to unfamiliar places.

Story telling is another pain point for me.Would actively like to work on that.

I think these 2 also are possible, although i have some other ideas about supporting people wanting to learn more about sharpening reflection skills. I will share them shortly.

I’d like to delve deeper into turning emotion into action and curating a creative journey for that.

Hi Vishwas! This sounds exciting... By the end of it, can the course involve us designing our own (full) workshop using what we've learnt? And maybe a space to execute it? Like an outdoor experience maybe...

Each group will be designing their own, for the audiences they work with. There will be opportunities to design and execute for different groups in each session. So there may not be a 'final' outdoor experience, but we can choose to do it, if thats what the whole group desires.

Thanks for your questions.
